Post-Acute Care Trying to Fix the “Toxic” Relationship with Medicare Advantage

The post-acute care industry is in a toxic and exhausting relationship with Medicare Advantage (MA) for fair rates. It’s to the point where providers all across the country are making noise and talking about the issues with MA and post-acute care agencies. 

MA is the primary insurer for Medicare beneficiaries and is predicted to be the dominant insurer type by the end of the decade. 

John Kunysz, CEO of Intrepid USA, stated: “It’s been a challenge because, not only is the rate lower, but the processing of the claims is 6-8 times harder for your back office revenue cycle. They just put in so many hurdles.”
