Dear KanTime Family,
KanTime would like to inform you of the many changes happening with the Conditions of Participation (CoP) for Home Health Agencies. There has been a delay in the effective date for the implementation of the new requirements. The Center for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS), HHS will postpone the Federal Register (82 FR 4504) published on January 13, 2017, until January 13, 2018.
The requirements will focus on the care delivered to patients by Home Health Agencies. CMS intends to publish a final version of the Interpretive Guidelines by December 2017. They have also proposed to make two conforming changes to dates that appear in the regulations from January 2017 HHA CoPs final rule:
1.) Phase-in Date Standard: Performance Improvement Project for July 13, 2018
2.) Standard: Administrator, HHA date of January 13, 2018, all administrators employed by HHA prior to the effective date of January 2017 are grandfathered and do not need to meet the new personnel requirements.
KanTime will continue to stay ahead of the curve with all necessary software changes and CMS updated requirements. We are dedicated to our KanTime families and will continue to help you achieve “Best Practices” as well as future success.
